Ages
Obstacle Course – Ages 8+ generally manage the course well on their own. We do allow kids from 5-7 years on the course, however it is important to note that someone able to help them must go up on the course with them. The kids may be very capable but nervous on their own, they may need help with the equipment they have to use and they may not reach easily…a little help can go a long way.
Zip Line Course – Ages 8+ can generally manage well on their own. We do send guides with groups for the Zip Line Course at this stage, so kids will have help from the Tree Trails team. Ages 5-7 at discretion as height can be a bit of an issue on this course with slanted platforms making the reach more difficult for small kids.
Bungee Trampolines – From age 3, if they can fit SAFELY into the harness they can jump!! Fun for all ages, upper weight limit is 110kgs due to the trampoline mats.
Pricing
Obstacle Course – Full Course R250/person. No time limit. For groups we have different options for the course, please contact directly either by email or What’sApp to discuss.
Zip Line Course – R200/person.
Bungy Trampolines – R60/person for up to 10 mins. Is more tiring than it looks, but so much fun.
Attire
Gloves – are purchased for R30 a pair, and kept by you to bring for your next visit. Highly recommended for the Obstacle Course, can be helpful on the zipline course as well. You are most welcome to bring your own gloves if you have some.
Hair– This is a major Safety Factor for us. ALL hair long enough to be tied back MUST be tied back. No exceptions. Hair can be tied back and low, plaited so is not hanging loose and able to get caught in a zipline pulley. It really is imperative. We keep a supply of hairties at all times if you are needing one.
Weight Limits
Obstacle Course – We don’t have a fixed weight limit, however for those over 120kgs it is going to be a tough task to manage the Obstacle Course. For our customers safety we will need to discern on an individual basis.
Zip Line Course – Again, not a fixed weight limit, over 100kgs is going to make a difference on a windy day. For our customers safety we will need to discern on an individual basis.
Bungee Trampolines – Due to the nature of trampoline mats the weight limit is 100kgs.
Operating Times
9 am daily, close at 5 pm.
Obstacle Course – last group to arrive at 3:00 pm due to the time it takes to complete the course.
Zip Line Course – last group to start no later than 4:00 pm.
Bungee Trampolines – last group to start no later than 4:00 pm.
Average Times To Complete
Obstacle Course – 1.5 hours, depending on each persons ability. We don’t have a time limit, however the course is to be approached and completed in one go. Not to come down and go have lunch then come back in 2 hours. We often could not realistically cater for that.
Zip Line Course – 20 – 30 mins, depending on size of group and how many photos you take up there.
Bungee Trampoline – up to 10 mins/person.
Picnic Areas
2 currently, set in the forest amidst the obstacle course and action. Both with a solid picnic table set and extra chairs. Bordered by logs can also be sat on. A tyre swing for the kids in each picnic area. Bins and bags provided. We do have a braai stand that can be booked for use, depending on weather and time of year it may be only used outside of the forest. All equipment required for the braai needs to be brought with you, we currently do not have the capacity to supply.
The picnic areas need to be booked for your party or group. We require a 50% deposit to secure this for you. We settle the outstanding amount after the party/event.
Weather
We are an outdoor adventure sport, so we are definitely affected by the weather. Wind can pick up suddenly, rain comes when not predicted. We can safely operate through most weather conditions without any problems. Conditions can sometimes make things more fun. Rain is not a show stopper, it can make things less appealing, but not dangerous.
WINDS can get quite strong out here. There may be the very rare time where it is not advisable to go on the Obstacle Course. Wind can affect the Zip Line Course quite dramatically. If the wind is coming in from certain directions we know there will be a big hindrance to the enjoyment of the experience and have to close the Zip Line Course for that reason. You don’t want to spend your time being rescued due to not making it to the platforms.
LIGHTENING – We cannot however operate during a lightening storm of any sort. Lightening is extremely random and dangerous and can hit far from the centre of its storm cycle. If we have a storm come over we will have to evacuate both the Courses and Bungee Trampolines for everyone’s safety, customers and the staff.
Cancellation Agreement
In the instance that a deposit has been paid for a booking, please note our cancellation terms.
We can operate in most weather, and given we are an outdoor activity we are at the mercy of the elements. Also, we realise things can happen in people’s lives that result in changes becoming necessary.
For safety reasons if there is a Lightening Storm we will have to evacuate both of the Courses and the Bungee Trampolines. This is totally out of our control and so we cannot refund.
If the customer chooses to postpone the booking we can arrange an alternative time to suit both of us.
If the customer chooses to cancel the booking due to weather, and we are still able to operate the customer forfeits their deposit.
If we are forced to close due to the weather and a suitable postponement is not possible we will refund the customer half of the deposit.
A postponement is always a win if possible. We do our very best to accommodate our customers and visitors.

Our Staff
We are very lucky to have a really awesome team of guides that are here to keep you safe, to encourage, to guide you through the course and generally be helpful. All of our guides are well trained and each person has their specific roles. We may look like we are having fun, but we assure you we are keeping eyes on lots of things.
We guide from the ground, so we can keep an eye on everyone to ensure safety is always adhered to. We will walk through areas to touch base and be close at hand if needed.
Where we start, how to find us, what to expect
We are part of Sugar Rush Park and we have a pedestrian gate entrance from the park into our forest. To find the start follow the ground paths until you find our check in table, and if you see any of us along the way please don’t hesitate to stop and ask for help or say hi.
When you arrive we have an Indemnity form for all to sign, payment is sorted and then we check hair is tied back and get everyone into their harness. We then guide everyone through a thorough safety briefing before we start you on your adventure.
Our courses start from the tall green tower, where you will zipline to the start of the Obstacle Course, or climb higher to zip through the Zipline Course. The Bungee Trampolines are set up inside the Park under the funky Zip Line bridge, in the shade.
Our Loyalty Program
We are often asked why we don’t have a loyalty program? Funny thing is we do! Have had almost from the start. Our flyers have the loyalty card on the back, they can be cut out and kept handy in a wallet or purse. 4 full price visits to our Obstacle course and the 5th visit is on us! We sign the cards, you keep them and bring each time. One card per person, full price paid to get a signature.
E-Vouchers
E-Vouchers available – You can buy a gift voucher for Tree Trails with such ease. We have printed vouchers onsite. But most conveniently we have E-Vouchers that can be purchased online and we will email them to you. What could be better than a Tree Trails gift voucher!!
